(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - According to Al-Qabas newspaper, ‘Adel Al-Fallah, deputy of Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs of the country said at the opening ceremony of the meeting that holy Quran, the Divine book, aims to bring the hearts of Muslims close together based on love, brotherhood and friendship and promote cooperation among them based on piety and righteousness.
He stressed the necessity of strengthening cooperation among Quranic centers and institutes and the need for exchange of their experiences to serve the Divine book.
Naser Al-Kandri, supervisor of the Office for Quranic Affairs of the ministry said: “the meeting was held with the aim of serving the holy Quran and distributing Quranic sciences, culture and principles among various groups of the society."
“Clarification of the methods in memorization of the Quran in Quranic institutes and providing an opportunity for the institutes to exchange their experiences in this respect and to set up a reference for Quranic activities were among the objectives of the meeting,” he added.
The opening ceremony was held on December 20 and the meeting was attended by Kuwaiti Quranic activists as well as a number of famous Quran reciters of the world of Islam, those interested in Quranic sciences and memorization of the Quran and top students of Quran memorization and Tajweed.
